GRAVE SONG by Alan Ashby (Drama)

CAST: 
Magdelene: Abbie King
Tiger Eye: Rosie Hellicar
Father: Alan King
Mother: Sarah Fletcher
Mr Resbitt: Jimmy Dunne
Mrs Resbitt: Mel King
Policeman: Robert Clydesdale

SYNOPSIS:

​Two young friends are on their way home, and whilst taking a shortcut through the nearby woods, they hear a disturbing noise that appears to be coming from somewhere beneath the ground.
However they are unable to identify the exact location.
They arrive home and share this worry-some event with Magdelena's parents, who suggest putting off any investigation until after tea. 
They all return to the scene after tea, but by that time the noise has stopped.  The two girls return after dark, but to their dismay again, no noises are heard and they return home. It isn’t until the next day, that the dire truth is finally revealed…

A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE PLAYWRITER:
Alan Ashby has had a long association with community, which has led to several theatre nominations for best supporting male actor.

His love of theatre began at the early age of 17 when he first graced the stage as tbc in tbc
His first play to be performed was tbc at tbc in 1900
Other plays Alan has written are The Ark, 
Alan first directed tbc at tbc in 1900 and has received a nomination for tbc and has continued to direct several one act plays and several ten-minute plays.
He now returns to the directors chair, this time directing the inaugural presentation of Grave Song, which he has written.
ARK Theatre are once again proud to presenting a new work and supporting local playwrights.
