ARK Theatre is excited to announce that we will be performing a One Act Play at several One Act Play Festivals in the latter part of 2025!
The Bigger Fish by Michael Olsen (comedy)

Synopsis:
Morris and Neal are survivors of a rampant bushfire that has just swept through their rural retirement property, raising everything in its path. That includes a 'special crop' that was due to be harvested, helping to give them ongoing financial security. Unfortunately, an overseas syndicate has a vested interest in the 'special crop' and when the smoke clears, the brothers are expecting them to visit. Can they find a way out of this predicament in time to save their skin?! Necessity is the mother of invention as they say, and they are running out of time. A Houdini-style plan is needed but trying to think of something is difficult when you're starving and are thirstier than a nuns nasty!

Michael Olsen has been floating around the theatre scene forever! His love of writing began many moons ago. He produced and directed his first play, Cannibals of the Heart, in 1993. He has more than 50 one act plays that have been performed across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Europe, Africa and America.
